Systems Administrator

Systems Administrator wantedDiscount Rentals Ltd T / A Discount Car Rentals has several branches across New Zealand.

We are now seeking a Systems Administrator to join our Auckland branches.

This is a full-time role requiring at least 30 hours per week, and work workplace is Christchurch

Responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimising the company's IT infrastructure, databases, and booking platforms to ensure reliable operations, data integrity, and compliance across all rental depots and online services

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support IT systems for all rental depots and the company's online booking platform, ensuring 24 / 7 availability for customers and staff.
• Administer and secure databases containing vehicle, customer, and booking records in line with industry and compliance standards.
• Implement system security measures including firewalls, encryption, and access controls to safeguard payment systems and customer data.
• Manage and maintain API integrations with third-party booking platforms and affiliated rental partners, ensuring accurate and timely data exchange.
• Monitor and optimise network connections, servers, and system performance to support daily rental operations.
• Establish and manage data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Provide technical support and training to depot staff to ensure smooth use of IT systems.
• Prepare and maintain IT documentation, system logs, and compliance reports.

The successful candidate must have :

At least three years of relevant work experience OR a bachelor's level relevant qualification or above.
