We believe that travelling is not about affordability, but about being open-minded and wanting to meet new people.JO&JOE is opening its new hostel in Auckland and is looking for its first Chef de Partie (CDP) to join the opening team.

The CDP will support the Head Chef and be an integral part of the kitchen team.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise kitchen operations to ensure quality dishes.Plan menus with management and manage budget.Ensure food safety compliance.Foster creativity while adhering to brand concept.Collaborate with other departments for guest satisfaction.Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage; maintain stock control procedures.Assist Head Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies for service.Provide total customer satisfaction through efficient, friendly and professional service; lead by example when attending to guest requests.

QualificationsBecause you've got it in you : Do not hesitate to go the extra mile.A palate dedicated to serving both the customer and the team.Teamwork comes naturally to you.A desire to learn and grow.Your extras are : 2–4 years of experience in a similar roleHolds a Level 4 / 5 Diploma in Professional CookeryPhysically fit and able to stand for the duration of a shift (8 hours)Organise time and work efficientlyAbility to work weekends, public holidays and nights due to business needsMaintains composure under stressThe right to work in New Zealand
