We are seeking an experienced secondary teacher confident to teach Y7–13 across a range of subject areas, ideally with experience teaching maths, English and science subjects at different year levels. Full registration and recent experience teaching the New Zealand Curriculum required.
Ability to speak te reo Māori and / or experience working with Pasifika communities will be highly valued but not essential.
Northern Health School is a Ministry of Education funded school. We provide education and transition support for Y0–14 students whilst they are in health preventing them from attending their regular school.
School management and administration is predominantly based in Auckland with school units in centres throughout the North Island from Kaitaia to Gisborne, Taupō and Taranaki. Teachers work with students across a spectrum of years and subjects on either an individual basis or in small groups. Depending on the health and education needs of the student, teacher may provide the whole education programme; an education programme in association with the student’s regular school or a programme in association with Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (The Correspondence School).
