Creative Content Specialist

At Vessev, we're defining a new category of marine transport : hydrofoiling electric vessels that are genuinely better for people and the planet.

It was a big step forward, and just the beginning.With strong momentum, global interest, and major milestones ahead, we're looking for a Creative Content Specialist to help us bring Vessev's story to life, on social and beyond.This is a rare opportunity to help shape the identity of a category-defining, Kiwi startup from the earliest stage.

There's so much scope to make this role your own, and we want you to create something you're insanely proud of.What you'll be doing : This is a hands-on, creative role with real ownership.

You'll be responsible for producing high-quality content and running our social channels – from shooting and scheduling to engagement and analytics.

As a foundational member of the marketing team, you'll have the chance to add value wherever you see opportunity, and help grow our brand from the ground up.

You'll work closely with the Head of Marketing and wider team to develop ideas, shape stories, and create content that has real impact.

You'll also work closely with our awesome agency partners, helping manage relationships, coordinate deliverables, and keep everything moving.

Content creationPlan, shoot, and edit content across formats – including short-form video, photography, and social-first storytellingCapture key moments : vessels in action, engineering milestones, behind-the-scenes, customer stories etc.Write strong, on-brand copy for posts, scripts, our website etc.Ensure all content reflects Vessev's brand, values, and visual identitySocial media managementOwn the day-to-day running of Vessev's social channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook)Plan and schedule contentManage proactive and reactive community engagementMonitor and report on key metrics to help inform decisions and optimise activityStay on top of trends and best practices, helping to evolve our approachBrand and campaign supportSupport content needs across the business from website updates to sales decksCreate and manage timelines and deliverables across campaigns and launchesWork closely with creative agency partners to deliver high-quality content and 3D rendersEnsure all creative outputs align with brand standards and marketing objectivesAbout you : You don't need to be an expert in marine, hydrofoiling, or electric transport.

What matters most is that you're intelligent, willing to muck in, and care about doing meaningful work.You're a strong all-round content creator who's equally comfortable holding a camera, writing a caption, or planning a social calendar.

You understand social deeply : how to use it to build a brand, engage different audiences, and drive marketing objectives.

You're curious, collaborative, and care about quality.We're looking for someone with2–5 years of experience in content creation, creative marketing or social mediaProven ability to shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality short-form video content – especially for social platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube ShortsStrong camera skills (DSLR / mirrorless), and editing proficiency with tools like Premiere Pro, Lightroom, etc.Excellent writing skills across a range of formats and tonesHands-on experience managing brand social media accounts – including scheduling, community management, and reportingExcellent organisation and project management skillsA solid understanding of how content supports marketing and brand growthA strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
