Shine (Safer Homes in New Zealand Everyday) is a specialist family violence service provider offering a range of supports aimed at helping people experiencing family violence become safer.
Our Education and Training Team delivers programmes such as Shine RESPOND, community professional training, and the DVFREE workplace programme.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated trainer to deliver the family violence component of the FVSV (Family Violence and Sexual Violence) Training Package to the Ministry of Justice Court workforce nationwide.
As part of the Shine Education and Training team, you will also facilitate training for professionals and community members.
This is a fixed term contract until Dec
In this role, you will :
Facilitate the FVSV Training Package for the MoJ Court workforce
Deliver other Shine education and training programmes as needed
Be available for extensive national travel
Your Skills and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally with postgraduate studies in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Women's Studies, or a closely-related field
Proven experience in family violence specialist frontline work with a deep understanding of family violence dynamics such as coercive control, entrapment, and resistance
Confident and skilled in training and facilitation
Respect and knowledge of te reo Maori me ona tikanga, with experience in kaupapa Maori approaches
NZ Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 4 or 5) or equivalent is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Full, clean NZ driver's licence
