About the role

At NZ Post, we’re more than just parcels and letters — we help New Zealanders stay connected and we’ve been part of Aotearoa for over 180 years. In this fixed-term parental leave cover, you’ll help shape the future of our delivery services. You’ll be the go-to person for deciding what products and services we offer, how they evolve, and how we keep them relevant, profitable, and loved by our customers.

You’ll manage the full product lifecycle from spotting opportunities, designing solutions, and launching them, through to fine-tuning or retiring them. You’ll work across the business (tech, operations, marketing, customer service, finance) to make things happen, and you’ll lead the Receiver squad, focused on making the parcel experience smooth for customers.

This isn’t a back-room role — you’ll influence decisions, shape roadmaps, and ensure what we deliver works for customers and the business. The foundations are in place; you’ll help execute the plan seamlessly.

You’ll know your stuff in product management and be someone people enjoy working with. You’ll be confident influencing across the business, building trust quickly, and bringing others on the journey. A mix of commercial acumen, customer focus, and a down-to-earth style will set you up for success.

You’ll combine that with :

• Proven experience in product management, ideally in a service-based or customer-focused industry
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills; you connect easily with people and earn trust fast
• A collaborative, approachable style — comfortable leading a workshop or rolling up your sleeves
• A commercial mindset, able to balance customer needs with business outcomes
