hours per week)Location of work : Napier (Hawke's Bay)The Role :As a Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the cafe, ensuring smooth services, great food and happy customers.
You will take ownership of the business performance, lead the team with confidence and help drive growth through excellent service, cost management and creative promotions.
Responsibilities include :
Managing the day to day operations of the Cafe / Restaurant.Planning menu, pricing in consultation with the chef, and maintaining good food quality.Keeping records of the stock levels and financial transactions.Take Ownership of budgets and cost control methods to minimize expenses.Promote the restaurant to reach a broader audience through discounts, offers and social media.Develop and execute a marketing plan taillored to local customers, ensuring pricing aligns with local market dynamics to drive sales.Building good relations with the customers, speaking with diners to address any issues and resolving them efficiently and accurately.Being People managemnt and leadership skills- should have a natural ability to lead and maintain a good rapport with the staff.Supervising front-of-house and back-of-house operations.Manage a good image of the business and recommend ways for improvement.Hire and train as needed to ensure enough staff is available at all times to provide a good customer service.Supervise and guide staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Analyse the staff performance, provide feedback and improve productivity and quality.Plan and prepare staff rosters according to weekly operational requirements.Promote clear and consistent communication with the team.Establish and keep up with the standards that ensure good customer experiences, promptly addressing feedback and complaints.Establish Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards, fostering a respectful, harassment-free workplace with professional behaviour and punctuality.What We're Looking For :
Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospitality environment or (a qualification in hospitality will be accepted if you have less experience- full training provided).Good leadership and people management skills with a hands-on approach.Good Communication, listening and problem-solving skills.Sound understanding of budgeting, rostering and stock control.Knowledge of local market dynamics and hospitality trends.Flexibility and a positive attitude for early mornings and weekend shifts.A full clean Driver's License.A clean character and commitment to professional conduct.If you're ready to bring your creativity and energy to a popular Napier café, we'd love to hear from you!
