He angitutanga | About the roleAs a Business Analyst – Information Management at the Department of Conservation (DOC), you will report to the Team Lead Business Analysis and work within the Information Management Project.You will engage with business units to determine which information management pattern they fit, document the design, configure and test SharePoint and support the onboarding process.Leveraging your business analyst mindset, strong SharePoint experience, and your excellent customer service and engagement skills, you will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition of each business unit into using SharePoint for their day-to-day information management.You will have willingness and ability to learn how to configure SharePoint using our pattern-based approach.All training will be provided.

You should be passionate about understanding key processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness, driving organisational change.Required skills and experience :
Experience implementing SharePoint.Understand Information Management practices.Experience with structing information to fit business processes, findability and usability.Strong delivery focus.Lean experience – proficient in eliminating waste, performing just-in-time analysis, and mapping key value streams.A knack for continuous process improvement.Process standardisation skills.Can straddle both technical and business requirements.Minimum 3 years of business analysis experience in a complex environment.Clear understanding of good business analysis practice and a commitment to "walking the talk".Well organized and structured, with a coherent and consistent approach to personal work management.Curious and innovative with a willingness to "right size" your approach to suit a variety of business working styles.Experience working with a variety of delivery approaches (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.)Experience through the whole project and systems delivery lifecycle, including discovery.Additional desirable skills :Relevant tertiary qualification.Mo te tima | About the teamThe Organisational Support Group's purpose is to ensure DOC is resourced, capable, financially secure, technologically enabled, and safe.We are responsible for ensuring we have the necessary frameworks, resources and support to enable us to achieve our objectives.DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
