We're seeking a dynamic Performance Manager to play a pivotal role in driving the effectiveness of our Technology function.
This role supports the Executive General Manager, Technology, by providing performance reporting, insights, governance and continuous improvement initiatives — enabling the function to deliver maximum value for business stakeholders, customers, and shareholders.
You'll act as the bridge between strategy, operations, and performance, ensuring the technology function is operating efficiently and aligned to business priorities.
You're an analytical, commercially minded professional who thrives on problem-solving, data-driven insights, and stakeholder engagement.
You combine strong technical acumen with exceptional communication skills and have a passion for improving organisational performance.
Key responsibilities
Monitor and assess the performance of the Technology team against established KPIs, FTE, budget targets, and financial operations.
Identify performance gaps, risks and improvement opportunities, and develop actionable plans to address them.
Provide regular performance reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
Facilitate workshops and discussions to drive performance improvements across the domain.
Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Executive Managers to ensure suppliers deliver value for Suncorp.
Prepare high-quality executive papers, board reports, and performance packs for divisional and group committees.
Support the EGM with executive updates, presentations, strategy days, and ad hoc requests.
To be successful in this role
Proven experience interpreting and synthesising complex data and financial information
Technology or performance management experience within a large corporate or financial services environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft executive-ready insights
Strategic thinking and analytical ability to influence senior leaders and drive improvement
Structured problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach
Strong financial and commercial acumen, with experience in modelling and cost / revenue analysis
