This role is based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington).

As a Senior Consultant or Manager, you’ll provide actuarial consulting to clients mainly within financial services, with some work in the public sector as well. Your responsibilities include managing projects and delivering results and strategic advice that help clients handle risk, optimise performance, and develop growth strategies.

Your key responsibilities

• Work with a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors, making a significant impact.
• Collaborate across our broader Financial Services practice, including strategy, transactions, tax, technology, and risk professionals.
• Engage in projects such as business transformation, capital and risk management, pricing and product innovation, liability valuation, and appointed actuary work.
• Develop and implement actuarial models and methodologies tailored to client needs.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice on risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Forge strategic partnerships in government, health, human services, and social sectors to enhance community wellbeing.
• Analyse and interpret data to uncover critical insights for informed decision-making.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and contribute to business thought leadership.
