About the team
The Puna Reo plays a vital role in Ngati Toa Rangatira's reo revitalisation efforts and in the growth of our tamariki and whanau.
We celebrate te reo Maori, our Ngati Toa identity, and are dedicated to incorporating te reo Maori and tikanga into all aspects of teaching and learning.
We are currently seeking a qualified kaiako to help support the teaching of tamariki aged 0 to 5.
A passion for the well-being and education of tamariki is essential, as is a genuine passion for being immersed in a te reo Maori environment at the Puna Reo.
About the role
Kia toa, kia rere, kia Maori.
The aim is to help tamariki develop strong foundations and knowledge of te ao Maori and te ao hurihuri, and to teach them whakapapa and purakau of Ngati Toa.
Our Puna Reo is a kaupapa Maori environment where tamariki thrive in a reo Maori-rich setting.
We aspire for all kaiako to be confident, fluent speakers of te reo Maori.

We are seeking
Qualified ECE kaiako (ECE teaching qualification + registration).
Fluent speakers of te reo Maori or those committed to their reo Maori journey.
Teachers with a passion for tamariki, whanau, and kaupapa Maori values.
Team players open to ongoing learning, mentoring, and professional development.

This is a requirement of the Vulnerable Children's Act
Additionally, please provide two referees who can speak to your Kaiako practice and / or your suitability for the position.

Working collaboratively in a team environment
