We're looking for an experienced, detail-driven chef to join the kitchen team at a high-end hotel client in Hastings.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your culinary expertise to a luxury environment where precision, quality, and presentation are paramount.

You'll be part of a professional, fast-paced kitchen producing premium à la carte dishes to a consistently exceptional standard.

Pay rate : $

• per hour (paid weekly, depending on experience)

Your role will involve :

Preparing and plating elegant à la carte dishes to exacting standards during busy service

Working collaboratively with a skilled kitchen team in a high-pressure, premium environment

Ensuring every plate reflects fine-dining expectations, with a strong focus on presentation and consistency

Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards

Bringing a sharp eye for detail and professionalism to every shift

We're looking for someone with :

At least 3 years' experience working in high-end à la carte kitchens

Deep knowledge of modern plating techniques and refined presentation

A commitment to maintaining excellence under pressure and tight service windows

Strong communication and team skills in a fast-moving kitchen

Formal cookery qualifications (e.g. NZQA Level 4) – desirable but not essential
