- We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Managing Director, Institutional and Business Banking (IBB). You will have exceptional planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. You will be the epitome of professionalism and always seek out new and better ways of working.As a great EA, you will anticipate the next steps, pre-empt what’s required, and maintain a strategic lens on your work. You will be adept at thinking outside the box and planning ahead. You will be detail-oriented, with the drive and energy to make this varied role look seamless.In addition to your superior interpersonal and organisational skills, you will have proven experience in a similar Executive Assistant role. You will pride yourself on working collaboratively with people at all levels to ensure the executive suite is an effective and enjoyable place to work.
- Key responsibilities include :
- Maintain, uphold, and protect the professional image of the Managing Director's office, both internally and externally.
- Use discretion to manage and close out issues of lesser importance, particularly in relation to communications, correspondence, and diary management.
- Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment. Work within new structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
- Identify areas where new or improved processes can be adopted to enhance the performance of the office.
- Organising events with stakeholders and customers as well as leadership offsites.
- Build and maintain strong internal networks across the Bank to facilitate smooth operations.
- Foster excellent working relationships with the IBB leadership team, and fellow Executive Assistants.
- 7+ years experience, in an Executive Assistant role, in large complex, corporate environments combined with proven success supporting a General Manager or Senior Executive.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, time-constrained environment at pace, with composure and professionalism.
- Resilience and adaptability to handle high-level work and the pressure that comes with it.
- Confidence when dealing with senior staff and the ability to remain unphased by hierarchy.
- Discretion is key; you will be entrusted with confidential information and must maintain this trust with professional etiquette.
- Strong and clear communication skills with a polished presentation.
