Support Worker

Support people going through natural disaster insurance claims and assisting in overall claims resolution and associated wellbeing needs.

This role provides wellbeing and practical support to homeowners navigating natural disaster insurance claims. It focuses on helping people manage the challenges and stress that arise during the claims process, assisting with claim resolution, and ensuring their overall wellbeing is supported throughout their recovery journey.

The role is 0.9 FTE = totaling 36 hours per week - between the hours of 8.30am-5.00pm (Monday to Friday) and based in Christchurch.

About You

• You’ll hold the NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or above (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to commence study toward this qualification within six months of starting with us.
• You must hold a current and full NZ drivers licence.
• Hold a current comprehensive first aid certificate covering units 6400, 6401 and 6402 or be willing to obtain one within 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Be a supportive and collaborative team player with great relationship building skills.
