Job descriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for : Providing high-quality diagnostic testing The effective and efficient use of laboratory information systems to register patients, input data, and access results Ensuring the full repertoire of testing can be offered by following appropriate calibration, QC and maintenance procedures Carrying out troubleshooting of assays and automated platforms when required The development of your own professional development Hours : Monday- 1 : 30 PM-10 : 00 PM Thursday - 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM Friday - 4 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AM Saturday - 4 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AM Sunday - 1 : 30 PM-10 : 00 PM About you Skills and experience Your skills will include : Self-motivation and discipline to work independently and a demonstrated ability to work to a high standard unsupervised The ability to prioritise and multitask as the situation demands The ability to work under pressure is essential Experience in Biochemistry is advantageous You will be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council, with a current Annual Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain) Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand. Our primary focus is to provide the bestservice possible for the care of the patient.
