We - re on the lookout for a NZ Registered MedicalLaboratory Scientist to join our Core Biochemistry team.We are seeking applications from a passionate and proactiveMedical Laboratory Scientist to join us.
Our CoreBiochemistry section provides an essential 24-hour service to not only thehospital but the wider community.
Our primary focus is to provide the bestservice possible for the care of the patient.
In this role, you will be responsible for :Providing high-quality diagnostic testingThe effective and efficient use of laboratory information systems to register patients, input data, and access resultsEnsuring the full repertoire of testing can be offered by following appropriate calibration, QC and maintenance proceduresCarrying out troubleshooting of assays and automated platforms when requiredThe development of your own professional developmentHours :Monday- 1 : 30 PM-10 : 00 PMThursday - 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PMFriday - 4 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AMSaturday - 4 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AMSunday - 1 : 30 PM-10 : 00 PMAbout youSkills and experienceYour skills will include :Self-motivation and discipline to work independently and a demonstrated ability to work to a high standard unsupervisedThe ability to prioritise and multitask as the situation demandsThe ability to work under pressure is essentialExperience in Biochemistry is advantageousYou will be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council, with a current Annual Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain)Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.We embrace a workforce thatis diverse and inclusive so that we are better positioned to understand andservice our community
