Your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities, including : Identifying and delivering automation and improvement projectsEnhancing engineering and asset maintenance processes, improving reliability and uptimeBe involved in engineering procurementThe ideal candidate will have project management experience, driving projects from scoping to delivery of new or amended assets.
Some experience with asset maintenance processes is also desirable.Your tasks will include identifying and delivering automation projects, including costing, preparing payback analyses, and managing project installation through to commissioning, depending on project size and complexity.You will also need to manage secondary effects to ensure smooth plant operations for front-line workers.
Collaboration with trades and operations teams is essential to align project needs, and working closely with contractors on scoping and tendering is required.Key objectives include : Proposing effective solutions for process optimization and machinery utilizationPreparing detailed cost-saving business cases, including capex, project timelines, quotations, and payback calculationsDeveloping Standard Operating Procedures to ensure machinery and product qualityImplementing change management processes and striving for continuous improvementSupporting sites with engineering and maintenance enhancementsThis position is primarily based at Horotiu Head Office in the Waikato region, with frequent domestic travel to project sites based on assigned projects and improvements.QualificationsThe successful candidate will demonstrate : An Engineering degree or relevant tertiary qualificationStrong communication skills to effectively liaise with trades, operations, external consultants, contractors, and suppliersAdditional InformationIf you are a driven and motivated individual passionate about engineering, please apply online now!
