This new way of operating will be informed by the voices of our workforce, lived experience and our partners.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Learning and Development Facilitator at Arohata Women's Prison, you will play a crucial role in directly supporting frontline custodial staff and their leaders to develop their capabilities so that they can better respond to the unique needs of women in our care and improve safety on site.
You will deliver high quality learning using facilitation skills to support on-boarding, initial learning pathways (Predominantly Corrections Officers) and existing staff capability uplift.
This may also include leadership training.
You will apply your impeccable coaching and mentoring skills to assist Corrections Officers and other staff throughout their career at Ara Poutama.
You will have a unique opportunity to facilitate gender responsive, culturally responsive, trauma informed learning to existing and new Corrections Officers in our Women's facilities.Skills and experience | Nga pukenga me nga wheakoTo Be Successful In This Position You Will HaveKnowledge and experience in facilitation, especially group facilitation, as well as proven success in coaching and mentoring others.Experience in delivering and facilitating gender responsive, culturally responsive, trauma informed material is preferred.Advanced communication skills - listening, reflecting and questioning.Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build a good rapport with people and to work effectively with a wide range of different audiences.A highly proactive nature with the ability to effectively self-manage and work autonomously.You may at times need to travel away from home in this position to support the other sites and the National Learning Centre, so a Full New Zealand Drivers Licence is required.The benefits | Nga paingaThe midpoint of the salary range is $98,888 and the full range (85%-120%) is $84,055- $118,666.
