OverviewManufacturing Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific – Islington, Christchurch, New Zealand.

This role involves producing Gibco cell culture media and freeze-dried powder products used in research, diagnostics, animal health and pharmaceuticals.

Working Monday to Friday with early start hours, some flexibility to meet production requirements, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Location : Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.

Seniority level : Not Applicable.What you will be doingCollaborate with a small team in a purpose-built modern manufacturing environment, actively operating equipment and processes while following SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practices.Be involved in our safety and continuous improvement culture.Train in multiple protein separation processes, complete day-to-day production activities and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), ensuring information is accurate and traceable.Communicate production issues to the Production Supervisor or Team Leaders and carry out duties to support efficient operation of the team and business.Keys to successFull training is provided.

Experience in manufacturing or a physically active environment is an advantage; flexibility in work hours.
