Overview

Christchurch Tradestaff Christchurch is looking for a skilled and motivated Joinery Worker to join a busy workshop. This role will see you working across both assembly and CNC operation, so it’s perfect for someone with well-rounded joinery experience who’s ready to take on a long-term opportunity.

Location and Start

Location : Addington

Start : As soon as possible

Pay rate : $30–$34 per hour (depending on experience and skillset)

Responsibilities

Assembling cabinetry, doors, windows, and other joinery items
Reading and interpreting technical drawings
Using hand and power tools to fit hardware and complete products
Operating CNC machinery to cut and shape components
Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and finish
Maintaining safe and efficient workshop practices

What You’ll Bring (Qualifications)

Proven experience in joinery, cabinetmaking, carpentry, or CNC operation (3+ years)

Ability to read plans and follow instructions accurately

Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

Good teamwork and communication skills

Your own reliable transport

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
