Job descriptionClass 2, 4 & 5 Truck Drivers WTR Machine Operators (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) Operate trucks transporting heavy civil equipment, aggregate, or materials Safely load and unload excavators, rollers, or other machinery Maintain vehicle logs, safety checklists, and basic truck maintenance Follow transport schedules and site delivery protocols Assist with labouring if required Operate civil plant such as excavators, rollers, loaders, and skid steers Conduct machine pre-start checks and minor servicing Work closely with site foremen and labourers for ground support Assist with trenching, backfilling, and site levelling where needed A valid Class 2, 4, or 5 NZ driver’s licence (depending on position) WTR endorsements – essential for operator roles Proven civil construction experience (min. 1 year preferred) Physically fit and willing to jump in and support the team Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong awareness of health & safety standards Punctual, reliable, and a team-first attitude Competitive hourly rates paid weekly Long-term work with potential for permanent placement Work with modern, well-maintained plant and vehicles A supportive team culture and on-site leadership PPE gear provided and replaced as needed Career development opportunities for motivated workers A workplace that values safety, respect, and teamwork Pre-employment drug & alcohol screening Full driver licence and MOJ (criminal background) check Provide at least two recent work references
