Investment Manager – Renewable Energy (New Zealand)

Location : Auckland, New Zealand (Relocation Required)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join our client's core team in New Zealand.

You will play a key role in M&A, greenfield development, and project finance for renewable energy projects.

While your primary focus will be on New Zealand, you will also support investment opportunities in Australia and Southeast Asia, contributing to regional growth and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain financial models for investment projects

Lead M&A planning and project finance structuring

Evaluate and analyze investment opportunities

Negotiate with suppliers, financial advisors, and financial institutions

Prepare materials for Investment Committee

Support contract review and negotiations

Monitor existing projects and explore new business opportunities

Requirements

Must-Have :

MBA or equivalent academic background

5+ years experience in investment banking or private equity

Strong financial modeling skills

Background in renewable energy sector

Nice-to-Have :

Experience in M&A advisory (Big 4 or similar)

CFA certification
