Te Whiwhinga mahi- The Opportunity - Project Manager x 2
We are looking for two Project Managers to join ourRegional and Local Programmes in Central.
These roles will manage projects with attributes assessed to be of typical complexity and to manage project teams to deliver Auckland Transport (AT) projects which are safe, customer centric and value for money.
The role includes all stages of design management, stakeholder management, procurement, contract management, construction management and project closeout.
The role will be provided oversight and guidance by a Senior Project Manager or Principal Project Manager, and will work as part of a project team, with supervision, for more complex projects.
Key Tasks will include :
- Establishing and managing project teams (both from within AT and external suppliers) for typical projects to enable the successful delivery of AT business objectives and optimise time, cost and quality project performance outcomes.
- Leading and monitoring project teams in applying the project management principles, processes, procedures and reporting requirements outlined in the AT Project Management Framework and providing expert advice on legislation, regulations, guidelines and standards.
- Ensuring project strategies, plans and activities incorporate the safety philosophy of 'Vision Zero" and overall organisational and workplace safety.
- Leading input into internal and external reporting and requirements and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in relation to all required reporting.
- Managing complex tender processes, implementing procurement strategies and effective governance arrangements to monitor provider, supplier and contractor performance.
- Relevant industry-recognised tertiary qualification in engineering, construction or project management - bachelor, diploma or certificate.
- Relevant postgraduate or professional qualification (PMP or PRINCE2 or equivalent)
- 3 years' post graduate experience in engineering or project management
- Familiarity with MS Project or similar application would be beneficial
- Has a good understanding and appreciation of the workings and functions of local government, including current and future business drivers and statutory requirements.
