• .What You'll DoThe Senior Project Manager will manage projects through the construction phase to completion in New Zealand.Duties And ResponsibilitiesEnsure all projects are built safely and in accordance with LSBP and HSE requirements of the relevant country, including Worksafe NZManage all construction aspects of Renewable Energy projects from early works through to commissioning and completionDevelop and foster strong working relationships with the New Zealand and Australian teams and at global level to support business developmentConstruction reporting to internal and external stakeholdersDelivery of best practice PM systems and controlsProvide input into LSbp T&C team to select the optimum EPC and Network Service Provider (NSP) contractors from RFP to contractual negotiations and final selectionSecuring strong interaction between both business development and assets management departmentsPrepare budget and time schedule of the project and ensure the project is built in accordance with the sameEnsure all projects comply with the requirements of the applicable permits and contractsManaging project handover from construction to operations ensuring early involvementKnowledgeIt is desirable to have 10 years of prior experience of the renewable energy & construction industry, ideally from either an EPC, NSP or similar company to Lightsource bpKnowledge and understanding of the constraints affecting the renewable energy industry in New Zealand and as applicable from any Australian learningsProject Management experience in renewable energy plants connected to both MV and HV networksKnowledge of fundamental project management systems and procedures in the construction industryQualificationsConstruction related formal qualifications in project managementIdeally an engineering degree or related discipline as backgroundFull driving licenseExperiencePrevious experience in the Renewable Energy sector & project management is essentialExperience of managing construction of utility scale Renewable Energy projects, i.e., larger than 50MWExperience working for projects built by EPC Contractors who have built Renewable Energy projects across the globe will be preferredSuccessful track record in project delivery and managing various stakeholdersStrong relationship with EPC's and related contractorsStrong relationship with NSP's on different levels, design, and constructionWhy you'll make a great member of the teamPersonal qualitiesStrong contract management skillsAbility to lead and inspire teamsHighly process and detail orientedProfessional and diligent manner with a flexible attitudeAbility to communicate and report clearly and effectively with good presentation skillsAbility to work in team environmentProven management skillsGood IT skills and good programming skillsWhy you'll want to work for usOur company is a place where you can be yourself and grow; a place where your ideas and opinions matter.Be youWe pride ourselves on being an inclusive community, where every individual is valued and treated with respect.Be responsibleOur culture is driven by our core values.
