Purpose of the role
We are looking for a Support Facilitator - Mana Tikitiki to work alongside the Lead Facilitator in delivering the aspirations of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei through the Mana Tikitiki programme.
This is a fixed-term / part-time role (10 hours per week) until June 2026, supporting the planning, preparation, and delivery of programme activities, trips, and wānanga. The Support Facilitator ensures tikanga, mātauranga, and whanaungatanga remain central in all aspects of delivery, while assisting with the practical organisation and smooth running of the programme.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience working with children, rangatahi, or whānau in education, youth development, community, or kaupapa Māori settings.
Confidence in facilitation and supporting programme delivery (e.g. trips, workshops, wānanga).
Experience working in a team environment, providing reliable support to colleagues.
An understanding of, or willingness to engage with, tikanga Māori, te reo Māori, and kaupapa Māori approaches.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
