About the role
Nga Kura a Iwi o Aotearoa Incorporated (NKAI) is a constituted body that represents and supports tribal schools that affiliate to our organisation voluntarily.
We are focused on our uri (learners) achieving Mana Motuhake as expressed in our vision, Te Tihi o Angitu.
We are seeking a highly organised, reliable, and innovative individual to support Te Whare Mairanga (our newly-established Private Training Establishment) as Kaitaunaki Mairanga.
This is a pivotal role that contributes to the effective delivery of our unique programmes and uri success.
Additionally, you will provide administrative assistance to the Pou Kokiri (Chief Executive Officer) and Nga Ringa Raupa (Governance Group).
Your ability to juggle multiple tasks, uphold high professional standards, and support others across a kaupapa Maori space is crucial.
You will collaborate closely with Ringa Wera (staff) to deliver comprehensive administrative support and assist in managing the systems and communications that support uri and our wider NKAI community.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape an emerging whare as it grows to serve our uri, kura, whanau, iwi and communities.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality administration, planning, and reporting support.
Organise and coordinate hui and wananga logistics, travel, catering, and relevant communication.
Utilise a variety of digital tools and platforms.
Navigate and maintain student management systems.
Create processes and accompanying documents (procedures, templates).
Provide assistance in communications and record-keeping to support uri and NKAI.
Support te reo Maori usage in meetings and reports where relevant.
