Role description

We are seeking a compassionate and empowering Kaimanaaki (Dean) to join our pastoral team at Kelston Girls\' College. The ideal candidate is an effective leader who is committed to putting the learner at the centre of their practice, upholding the mana of everyone in our school community and nurturing the vā.

This is a multi-faceted role for a leader committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for every young person to thrive. As a member of our pastoral leadership team, you will oversee one of our year level cohorts, lead our academic mentoring program, and be a primary point of contact for students and whānau. This role requires a deep understanding of restorative practice. Our core work is underpinned by our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, our partnership with Te Kawerau ā Maki as mana whenua, and the principles of culturally sustaining practice.
