Make your impact on our communities, shaping better health outcomes for future generations. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Navigator who will :
Impactful Work : Contribute to the growth and development of the AWHI workforce and improve outcomes for future generations of Aotearoa
Diversity Expand your skills and work across the diverse scope
Supportive Environment : Work within a flexible organisation that prioritises your wellbeing and development
Professional development opportunities, including expanding on your capability in Te Reo Māori, 8 days of development leave, and support for professional memberships and post graduate studies
Provide the healthy home services to whānau in Weymouth, Manukau, Clendon, Randwick Park and Manurewa
Assess, identify and implement practical solutions to address health and housing needs.
Deliver healthy homes education and empower whānau with practical tools and strategies to support improved housing and wellbeing.
Assist whānau to access a range of services and entitlements in health, education and housing; ensuring coordinated and comprehensive support.
Provide active monitoring of whānau-centric plans, ensuring successful implementation and review.
Build and maintain high trust relationships with system stakeholders to support coordinated, wraparound responses for whānau.
Proven experience working with Māori and Pacific whānau and communities (ideally 2+ years)
Understanding of the housing and health challenges facing Māori and Pacific whānau
Desire to promote cross-cultural understanding within the organisation. Knowledge of Te Reo Māori or a Pasific language is an advantage
A commitment to working in a kaupapa Māori environment, embracing Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
Attention to detail, flexibility, and reliability
High standard of professional written and oral communication
Confident in facilitating small group sessions and speaking publicly
A relevant tertiary qualification in health and / or social services would be an advantage
Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
