Traffic Operations Supervisor

We're seeking a Traffic Management & Incident Response Supervisor to oversee daily operations across the Transmi ssion Gully network.This is an exciting role with real impact—leading a team of 9 Incident Responders, coordinating traffic management resources, and ensuring seamless delivery of both planned and unplanned responses.

You'll be the go-to person for rostering, resource allocation, and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities : Coordinate daily operations, including rostering and deployment of traffic management crewsLiaise with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth deliveryOrganise training for TTM staff and ensure compliance with NZGTTM standardsConduct audits, reporting, and site condition ratingsManage plant, technology, and resources to maximise utilisation and reduce costsIdentify and manage hazards, ensuring all staff and subcontractors are fit and competentRespond to incidents (planned and unplanned), including evenings and weekendsChampion continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellenceMaintain strong relationships with clients and field staff to ensure contract successDuty Manager responsibilities, including 24 / 7 service provisionWhat You'll Bring : Solid experience in traffic management or roading operationsStrong working knowledge of NZGTTM and CoPTTM complianceProven leadership experience managing teams and subcontractorsFamiliarity with industry codes of practice and safety standardsSTMS certification preferredRelevant tertiary qualifications (advantageous)Why This Role is Exciting : Be part of a high-profile, long-term contractWork with a leading infrastructure organisationJoin a tight-knit, supportive teamHelp keep the community and road users safeEnjoy the benefits of Southern Cross Health Essentials
