We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and innovative teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a permanent, full-time position for a composite Y5-8 class, with a permanent unit for leadership, for 2026 and beyond.

The ideal candidate will :

• Have an understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum, particularly for Y5-8.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective pedagogical practices for a composite classroom.
• Be a skilled practitioner of assessment for learning, using data to inform teaching and learning.
• Have a proven track record of building positive and respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and whānau.
• Be committed to cultural responsiveness and inclusive practices.
• Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Be able to support and uphold the Catholic special character of our school. This position can be tagged or untagged.

Leadership opportunity

This role comes with a permanent leadership unit, with the specific responsibilities to be negotiated with the successful applicant based on their strengths and the school's needs. The role could focus on curriculum development, leading an area of the curriculum, or pastoral care.
