Opihi College is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Y7–8 homeroom teacher to join our supportive and forward-thinking team. This role offers the opportunity to work with our youngest learners in a nurturing environment, developing strong foundations for their secondary schooling journey. The successful applicant will lead a homeroom class and deliver core programmes in English, mathematics, social studies, and health. A strength in teaching across a broad range of these subjects is highly valued, along with the ability to foster positive relationships and create engaging, structured learning experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
