Overview
Chanel College is a Catholic, co-educational, state-integrated secondary school (Y7–13), located in Masterton.
We seek a passionate and skilled teacher of te reo Maori and cultural performing arts who will inspire students through language and cultural expression.
This is a part-time (0.5 FTTE), permanent position.
Responsibilities
Teach te reo Maori at various curriculum levels (Y7–13).
Lead the development of Maori and Tangata Moana performing arts within the school.
Foster cultural pride, unity and understanding through kapa haka, Pasifika performing arts and other cultural initiatives that reflect the identity of our students and community.
Support, uphold and be positively involved in the special character of the school.
Qualifications and Attributes
Qualified teacher with experience teaching te reo Maori and cultural performing arts.
Ability to engage students across Year 7–13 and lead co-curricular cultural activities.
Strong commitment to the school's ethos and community engagement.
