You'll ensure accurate and timely financial information is delivered to support project delivery, commercial decisions, and overall business performance.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation and reporting of monthly and annual financial results,Balance Sheet reconciliations to support monthly management accounts,Preparation of annual year-end financial pack for external accountants,Contract retention reconciliation,Liaise with project managers and QS team to monitor job costing, WIP, and margins,Administer weekly timesheet collation, validation, and approvals for staffWeekly Payroll processing and administrationPreparation and filing of all statutory returns, i.e. GST, PAYE and Companies Office RegistrationsYou'll be joining a mid-sized, growing business conveniently situated near Christchurch CBD.
In our welcoming back-office setting, you'll benefit from support provided by experienced industry professionals and management.Skills And ExperienceDegree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with proven experience in financial or management accounting (construction / contracting industry - an advantage)Proficient in preparing financial statements and management accounts for SMEs.Strong understanding of NZ accounting standards, payroll processing, and employment legislation.Commercially minded with insight into risk management, contracting, and business cash flows.Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and professional communication skills.Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused with high attention to detail.Strong IT skills, including MS Excel, with experience in simPRO and Xero being advantageous.About Stellar RecruitmentSince
