About the Role
We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our night shift team based in Airport Oaks.
This role involves production planning, quality and compliance, health and safety, and team management.
You will work closely with night shift team members and other team leaders, supervising a small team.
Responsibilities
Leading the shift to achieve production targets and goals
Ensuring adequate resources are available for effective execution of the production plan
Completing reporting
Actively working with the Quality and Compliance team to ensure the quality of the product meets our high standards
Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are followed and investigating any incidents
Conducting and recording regular safety toolbox talks
Applying a variety of lean manufacturing approaches
Training staff (new hires and ongoing training for existing team members)
Coaching and developing team members
Assisting the team to operate production machinery when required
Qualifications & Skills
A strong background in a manufacturing or production workplace as a Team Leader or Supervisor
Experience working with plastics, ideally extrusion
Effective communication skills and decision-making ability
Good leadership and people management skills
Strong IT skills – daily use of computers
Excellent understanding of Health & Safety procedures
Understanding of accounting principles and employment legislation
Self-motivated and proactive
Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
Great attitude and willingness to learn
Physical fitness to work on your feet all day, including in a factory environment
Work Hours
Hours are 11 : 00 PM – 07 : 00 AM Sunday to Thursday (you finish on Friday morning and receive Sunday night off).
The role is temp-perm and is ideal for long-term progression within the company.
