Support Worker - South East Auckland (Behavioural Support)
South East Auckland service area : Mount Wellington, East Tamaki, Papatoetoe, Manukau
Full time positions, 65+ hours per fortnight on a variable roster
Must have flexible availability to work a variety of rostered shifts; mornings, evenings, overnight sleepovers, and every second weekend.

We're looking for strong, resilient Support Workers - someone who's got the heart and strength to step up and support with complex behavioural needs.
You'll be helping the people we support to manage emotions, stay safe, and grow.
This role isn't just a job - it's about standing beside someone when things get tough and helping them find their way forward.

Your responsibilities include :
Fostering independence : Assist individuals in developing daily living skills such as using public transport and preparing meals.
Managing daily routines : Support with personal care tasks like showering, dressing and taking medication.
Pursuing goals and interests : Encourage and help individuals to follow their passions and hobbies.
Promoting health and well-being : Guide individuals in making healthy lifestyle choices and maintaining their overall well-being.
Building strong connections : Strengthen their relationships with whanau and community.
Someone with life experience who knows how to stand strong and stay calm
Resilience and confidence to work with challenging behaviours
Physically fit and confident in high-pressure situations
Ability to work in an environment with diverse individuals, being open-minded and non-judgmental in your approach.
Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A full NZ driver's licence
