Resource Teacher of the Deaf – Franklin

Join our team of educators as a Resource Teacher of the Deaf at Franklin. This permanent, full‑time role is based out of the Pukekohe office and involves supporting DHH students in mainstream and specialist schools across the region.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with mainstream and specialist schools to work closely with DHH students, families, and school staff.
• Engage with your assigned caseload, maintaining records and liaising with families and whanau to support student participation and success.
• Develop and implement best‑practice strategies for DHH learners, using New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) and listening and spoken language practices.
• Provide ongoing support to students across the caseload from Manurewa south to Maramarua.
• Maintain accurate record‑keeping and reporting for student progress.
