We are looking for a permanent Project Coordinator to join our Programme Management Office (PMO).
This role is key to the coordination of projects from commencementto completion andsupport the successful implementation of the programme of work necessaryfor the delivery of New Zealand's General Elections.The salary band for this role is $79,150- $87,940 depending on relevant skills and experience of the candidate.Mohou ake | About youYou will be an enthusiastic team player with demonstrated success in coordination of projects and experience supporting project managers across multiple projects.
You will enjoy variety in your work and be a self-starter who uses their initiative and pays close attention to detail.You will : Have a minimum of three to five years' experience working in a Project Coordinator role.Demonstrate experience in organising and working with people to deliver to deadlines.Build relationships with people across the organisation to ensure the project has the right connections and stuff gets done.Bringyour initiative and proactive approach to the Electoral Commission to keep things moving and assist the team to stay ahead.Befocused on understanding the needs of customers and on delivering value to them.Consistently delivers results beyond expectations.Ko tau e whakarato ai|Key responsibilitiesYou will be responsible for : Supporting the Project Manager(s) assisting with tasks and responsibilitiesallowingthem to be more future focused.Managing all registers for the project / s and ensuring the review of these is organised to meet key dates for wider review.Preparing monthly status reports for the governance group and liaising with the Programme Office.Maintaining project schedules and Kanban boards through seeking updates from the team and report back to the Project Manager on any variances.Ensuring the project financials are tracked and reported on, contracts for suppliers are in place and accessible.Organising meetings that require multiple stakeholders and tracking the attendance, ensuring action points are recorded.Proactively suggesting process improvements and better ways of working.Ko nga mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu| What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role you will have : A relevant tertiary qualification and / or equivalent experience.Highly effective planning and organisational skills, including time management and prioritising within a complex working environment.Experience building relationships with people to deliver desired outcomes.Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Excel, Visio and Project.Project management certification (PMP or Prince2) would be an advantage.Te Kaitiaki Take Kowhiri | About the Electoral CommissionThe Electoral Commission wants every New Zealander to trust, value and take part in parliamentary elections.Here's your chance to contribute to New Zealand's democracy as part of a small team of electoral experts who design, build and implement processes and systems for Parliamentary elections and referenda.It's an exciting and varied role within a team which is committed, supportive and hands-on.The Commission is building an inclusive strength focused culture where diversity is encouraged and valued, and we welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, orientations and identities.
