About the RoleThe Charge Nurse Manager Surgical leads thecare and coordination of clinical practice across the 40 bed Surgical Ward andthe Day Patient Service at Timaru Hospital, ensuring there is a focus oncontemporary practice and patient centred care.Surgical services provided include, General, Orthopaedic, Gynaecological, Urology andENT Surgery.The role is supported by a Clinical NurseCoordinator who works across both services actively overseeing clinicalpractice and ensuring multi-disciplinary team involvement in patient caredelivery within these two departments.
About youIdeally you will have previous leadership experienceor hold strong aspirations toward taking on a leadership role.We are lookingfor someone who has what it takes to effectively lead a team; including theability to solve problems, demonstrate sound professional judgement withexcellent communication skills.
Extensive post graduate experience in surgicaland medical nursing will be an advantage.
