This role is pivotal in supporting our organisation's operations by providing comprehensive assistance across HR administration, training and development, event support, health and safety compliance, and general office functions.
This role is designed to enhance business support for teams, enable a focus on staff wellbeing and development, and provide project and event co-ordination.ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support for HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining employee records.Coordinate staff training and development initiatives.Support health and safety compliance and reporting.Provide comprehensive administrative and customer service support across teams, including project and event coordination, database management, and front-of-house duties.Collaborate with the Business Support Administrator to ensure smooth office operations.Has experience in administrative or business support roles, preferably in HR or event coordination.Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills.Is proficient in Microsoft Office and administrative systems.Has a proactive approach and can work both independently and collaboratively.Has experience working in te ao Maori and with kaupapa Maori organisations.Awarua Whanau ServicesAwarua Whanau Services is a Kaupapa Maori organisation providing health and social services in Invercargill, Otago and surrounding areas.
