Deputy Dean, Faculty of Law and Professor of Law
We are seeking a Deputy Dean to join the Faculty Executive of Te Wahanga Ture – The Auckland Law School.
The Deputy Dean supports the Dean and contributes across the University.
The role is for an initial half-full-time (0.5 FTE) term of five years, with a substantive continuing academic position at Professor level, reduced to 0.5 FTE during the term.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and executive governance as a member of the Faculty Executive.
Deputise for the Dean in strategic leadership of the Faculty.
Support excellence for staff, students, operations and culture.
Advance scholarship in company law, land law, equity and criminal law (or other areas).
Champion the University's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to an inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
Full Professor level academic appointment.
Strong record of research outputs and contributions to scholarship.
Formal leadership experience at a university.
Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.
Experience in a cosmopolitan university environment (e.g., Auckland).

Full time academic position part-time during Deputy Dean term.
