AUT’s Law School comprises scholars and practitioners dedicated to developing the next generation of legal professionals, providing innovative and comprehensive legal education and research which impacts the legal landscape across New Zealand and the wider Pacific region. The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
We have a permanent, full‑time (37.5 hours per week) opportunity for a Professor or Associate Professor to make significant impact and develop their career in teaching, research and service. We are open to expertise across areas relevant to our Law School, and are particularly interested in applicants who can contribute to our teaching and / or research in any area of the Law.
You will have demonstrated leadership capability and show willingness to take up a future substantial leadership role as opportunities arise, including leading new programme developments, deputy / head of school, associate dean or research centre leader.

A minimum of a completed research LLM.
Significant undergraduate and postgraduate lecturing experience in Law.
Strong research outputs and successful external research grant applications where appropriate.
Academic leadership and service record.
A champion for equity, supporting the school’s Te Aronui journey.
