Deputy Dean, Faculty of Law and Professor of Law

We are seeking a Deputy Dean to join the Faculty Executive of Te Wāhanga Ture – The Auckland Law School. The Deputy Dean supports the Dean and contributes across the University. The role is for an initial half‑full‑time (0.5 FTE) term of five years, with a substantive continuing academic position at Professor level, reduced to 0.5 FTE during the term.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and executive governance as a member of the Faculty Executive.
• Deputise for the Dean in strategic leadership of the Faculty.
• Support excellence for staff, students, operations and culture.
• Advance scholarship in company law, land law, equity and criminal law (or other areas).
• Champion the University’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to an inclusive environment.
