Based at Whakatāne Hospital, you will contribute to antenatal, birthing, and postnatal care alongside colleagues who genuinely care for whānau and each other. Ko Matariki Maternity Unit champions a women‑centred care model supported by an experienced, multidisciplinary team including midwives, nurses, HCAs, obstetric registrars, and SMOs. Located in Whakatāne, a community‑minded coastal town with deep cultural roots, our unit is grounded in strong teamwork, cultural safety, and professional development.
