Shop Assistants

We are a busy retail business based in Whakatane.  We are in need of two Shop Assistants for our busy operation.  If you are looking for a

Job Duties :

• Delivering outstanding customer service to all customers by listening and responding to customer queries in a confident and professional manner
• Greeting customers as they enter and leave the store
• Creating customer awareness about the latest offers and promotions
• Scan, weigh and record prices of goods for sale
• Take payments for goods and services using point of sale machine
• Issue sales dockets and give accurate change
• Make sure there is enough change, wrapping and other materials needed at checkout
• Count and record money received
• Operate a computer terminal to administer the store's financial transaction system
• Packaging of grocery and produce items
• Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products
• Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labelled
• Perform any other tasks required by the manager
