The Executive Chef is looking for ambitious CDPs who are passionate about food and eager to develop their skills and knowledge.
You may work in any or all outlets, including Panorama Room, Alpine Restaurant, Sir Edmund Hillary Café, Snowline Bar, and the Chamois Bar and Grill, which broadens culinary experience and testing of skills.ResponsibilitiesMaintaining high guest satisfaction through preparing and serving quality dishesPlanning daily operational requirements, including equipment needs, food stock, and time management for delivery of food and serviceWorking with junior and senior team members to monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation, presentation, and serviceSupporting cost control and budget management through accurately estimating food costs and controlling usage, wastage, and specialsAssisting in the management of wage labour costs through good time management and training, and supporting other staffWorking collaboratively as a member of the kitchen team to maintain a pleasant and safe working environment and ensure efficiency in preparation of food to exceed customers' expectationsMaintaining standards and displaying knowledge of all relevant Health and Safety standards and food preparation regulationsWhat you will bring to the roleExperience working in a fast paced or high production kitchen is essential with six months or more preferredCulinary qualifications and education are preferred, and able to converse in EnglishA commitment to food safetyA can-do attitude and a willingness to learnA friendly and professional manner, with excellent communication skillsFlexible and adaptable nature, able to multi-task, and work at paceThe role and benefitsFull time, permanent employment, minimum 60 hours per fortnight, on $
