An exciting opportunity has arisen for an appropriately qualified and experienced person to take on the leadership of our Careers Department.
Student pathways are a strategic priority area for our school at the current time, as we work to support all of our students to purposefully progress through our school and into further study or the workplace when they graduate.
The role includes leadership of our team of four specialist staff, as well as wider school leadership of our careers and pathways programme.
Applicants with the appropriate qualification may be eligible for the careers adviser advance.
Applicants for positions at Avondale College must be NZ registered teachers and will endorse the school's academic priority as well as be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement.
The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $64,083 to $103,086 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience.
Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
