Location :Starship Childrens HospitalKorero mo te turanga - About the roleThere is an active education program which includes access to weekly protected teaching sessions and opportunities to participate in multidisciplinary simulation scenarios.There are additional opportunities to gain advanced skills such as bedside ultrasound and airway experience during paediatric anaesthetic lists for those interested.
Registrars also have access to medical education leave to attend other courses and conferences.
- Registrars who are trainees with the following colleges : + College of Intensive Care Medicine + Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists + Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics Advanced trainees) + Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (Advanced trainees)
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- An interest in continued medical education- Previous experience working as a registrar (or equivalent) in critical care / intensive care medicine, anaesthesia, paediatric medicine or emergency medicine is essential.
- International trainees with equivalent training / qualifications are highly encouraged to apply- Ability to provide whanau centred and culturally safe care to a diverse patient group- Ability to work within a comprehensive multidisciplinary team- Excellent communication skills| Location : | Auckland |
