We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Queenstown.
Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Duty Manager, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in the Great Room, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience that reflects the Holiday Inn Express & Suites brand standards and True Hospitality.This role is all about teamwork and delivering an unforgettable guest experience.
As a key player in the team, you will assist with preparing and serving both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, as well as food items, while ensuring the Great Room is immaculately presented.Key Responsibilities : Guest Experience : Greet and engage with guests in a warm and professional manner.
Ensure service delivery is in line with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites brand standards.
Aim to build real connections with guests and go the extra mile to create lasting impressions.Service Delivery : Prepare and serve food and beverages to guests with attention to detail, maintaining a high standard of service at all times.
You will also assist in the preparation and service of food items when necessary.Teamwork : Work closely with the kitchen team and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations.
Participate in team briefings, daily meetings, and training to ensure quality service standards are met.Financial Responsibilities : Upsell food and beverage items where appropriate.
Ensure all transactions are accurately processed and adhere to cash handling procedures.
Maintain control of stock levels and minimize waste.Safety & Compliance : Maintain compliance with RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol), HACCP, Food Safety standards, and workplace health and safety policies.
Take part in the Emergency Response Team and assist in emergency procedures when required.Professional Development : Engage in training opportunities to further develop your skills and knowledge, and support a culture of continuous improvement in the team.Skills and Attributes : Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.Knowledge of food and beverage service, including alcohol service standards.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Previous experience in a food and beverage role, especially in a hotel or hospitality environment, would be an advantage.Why Join Us?
