Network Operations Engineer

About the role : As a Network Operations Engineer, you'll provide engineering support to our operational teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives across our network.

This role is varied and impactful, you'll be analysing network constraints, coordinating outages, updating operating limits, and helping ensure the safe and reliable operation of our distribution network.You'll also contribute to projects around emerging grid technology, outage planning, fault response, and power quality investigations.

It's a hands-on role where no 2 days are the same, and where your work has a direct impact on the communities we serve.What you'll be doing : - Conducting network power flow studies, modelling operational constraints and implement contingency plans.

• Providing technical support for outages, emergencies, and study power quality and voltage related issues.
• Monitoring and analysing network performance to optimise reliability.
• Troubleshooting faults and support fault response teams to ensure rapid restoration of service.
• Preparing technical reports and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Building strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.About you : - A degree in Electrical Engineering (essential).
• Experience in distribution networks and power system operations planning.
• Familiarity with load flow modelling tools (e.g. PSS-SINCAL).
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
