Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Technology Infrastructure team. The Technology Infrastructure team focuses on the innovation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure on which our managed central agencies rely.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you\'ll be responsible for delivering core network infrastructure services, including the design, configuration, and implementation of key projects. You\'ll also support troubleshooting and resolution of major incidents.

The specific experience, skills, and qualities that will help you succeed in this role include

  • Experience in Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco, Aruba and ClearPass
  • A strong technical aptitude and demonstrated skill in performing technical problem determination and analysis
  • In-depth experience with network management, design and administration and experience with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
  • Experience in network coding or automation in at least one language, such as Python, PowerShell, or a Linux shell
  • A can-do attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A computer science or ICT related university degree or equivalent industry qualifications or experience.
