Network Operations Engineer

About the roleAs a Network Operations Engineer, you'll provide engineering support to our operational teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives across our network.

This role is varied and impactful; you'll be analysing network constraints, coordinating outages, updating operating limits, and helping ensure the safe and reliable operation of our distribution network.

You'll also contribute to projects around emerging grid technology, outage planning, fault response, and power quality investigations.

It's a hands-on role where no two days are the same, and your work has a direct impact on the communities we serve.What you'll be doingConducting network power flow studies, modelling operational constraints and implementing contingency plans.Providing technical support for outages, emergencies, and studying power quality and voltage-related issues.Monitoring and analysing network performance to optimise reliability.Troubleshooting faults and supporting fault response teams to ensure rapid restoration of service.Preparing technical reports and ensuring compliance with industry standards.Building strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.About youA degree in Electrical Engineering (essential).

Experience in distribution networks and power system operations planning.Familiarity with load flow modelling tools (e.g. PSS-SINCAL).
